IIT Hyderabad (IITH) is inviting applications from eligible Indian nationals having excellent academic track records and who are motivated, with an established independent, high-quality research and commitment towards teaching and research. Positions are open at Assistant, Associate, and Full Professors levels at various departments at IIT Hyderabad.

Vacancy Details
Number of Vacancies: Vacancies will be filled as and when required.
Assistant Professor Grade I:
Pay: minimum pay to be fixed at Rs. 1,01,500 (Matrix pay level of 12) along with allowances as per 7th CPC. After completion of 3 years of satisfactory service, they may be placed in matrix level 13A1 along with other allowances.
Required Qualification:
- Ph.D. with a consistently good academic record throughout.
- Experience: At least 3 years in industrial/research/teaching experience after completion of Ph.D.
Assistant Professor Grade-II:
Required Qualification:
- Candidates without 3 years’ industrial/research/teaching experience after completion of Ph.D. applying for direct recruitment as Assistant Professor Grade I, may be taken as Assistant Professor Grade II and the minimum pay to be fixed at Rs. 98,200 (Matrix pay level of 10) along with allowances.
- Should be preferably below 35 years of age (For both Assistant Professor Grade I and Assistant Professor Grade II).
Associate Professor:
Pay: Minimum pay is to be fixed at Rs. 1,39,600 (Matrix pay level of 13A2) along with allowances as per the 7th CPC.
Required Qualification:
- Ph.D. with a consistently good academic record throughout.
- Experience: A minimum of 6 years in teaching/research/professional experience, of which 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor, Senior Scientific Officer/Senior Engineer in a research organization or industry.
- Candidates should be preferably below 45 years of age.
Professor:
Pay: Minimum pay to be fixed at Rs. 1,59,100 (Matrix pay level of 14A) along with allowances, As per 7th CPC.
Required Qualification:
- The applicant should have a Doctoral degree with a consistently good academic track record.
- Experience: The candidate should have a minimum of ten years of teaching/research/professional experience, of which at least four years should be at the level of Associate Professor or equivalent position in a research organization or industry.
- The age of the applicant should be preferably below 55 years at the time of application.
